The Losers

I have very low expectations for this movie. Actually, I didn't remember adding it to my queue on Netflix, but it came. So I watched it on clearplay. And I thought it was fun. I was entertained. Perhaps it was simply a pleasant surprise because I had low expectations, but I liked it.

Little House on the Prairie (season 4)

I just finished watching the 4th season of my ALL TIME FAVORITE TV show. Some real good highlights from this season are:

- Laura finds a baby in the woods, and the family tracks down the despondent and somewhat hostaged mother.

- Nellie Oleson and Luke Sims get married (for about 10 minutes)
- Miss Beadle gets married and has a baby

- Charles and Caroline's anniversary brings back memories and scenes from their childhood meeting and falling in love

- Mary loses her sight and goes to blind school
- Charles and Caroline have their third daughter, Grace

The Infinite Atonement

My, what a beautifully insightful book. I had this book given to me and I read it recently. It provided some new ways to look at the Savior's atonement. I was touched by how Elder Callister was able to address so many facets of the atonement. I learned so much, and encourage everyone to read this book. It is NOT boring, and it is NOT difficult to read. I loved it.
If you get a chance, get the book, or borrow it from me.

Gamer (clearplay)

Um... lots of violence and a strange and unsatisfying storyline. Would not recommend, but watch it on clearplay unless you are in to violence, sensuality, and language, because there were a lot of "skips."

The Ghost Writer (on clearplay)

Well, the first half of this movie went well. I was intrigued, I was interested. The second half of this movie makes the first half look even better. I didn't like some of the ways the story turned... and some of it doesn't really flow well.

Definitely watch on clearplay or don't watch.

LOVED this book. It was all so great. Very great exciting moments, thrilling, intriguing, sad, great writing. READ it. I read in the epilogue/notes that Captain Nemo (one of the characters in this book) was deemed "The most mysterious character in all literature" Yeah. Definitely worth reading.

The Three Musketeers post 2

Ok, I hated this book. Most people say that hate is a strong word, well, I say this book needs strong words. Do not read it. Do not waste your time. Do not start. You will just be disappointed.
He sleeps with several girls, (one of them married) and although the writing was good, he (the author) used his talents in this book to write a bad side of people. Not to say that it was ALL like this, but I didn't even finish it. That speaks for itself. 1 star.

War of the Worlds

Ivanhoe to war of the Worlds. Big jump. You will soon see that I jump all over the place. Well, War of the Worlds was a good book, recommendable for reading. Very interesting to see how he ties it all up. I would probably give it about four stars, I have to take one off for disgustingness. I think, pretty good book. One of my favorites, but not tip top.

Okay, so since I have been reading the classics lately, Mom has been telling me to get on with it and post my reviews on this blog. So here I am, posting about classic books. The first one I read was Ivanhoe. I really loved it. It had a great plot, great characters and although their speech was sometimes hard to understand, you will get used to it. Trust me, this book is awesome! I give it 5 stars, one for action, one for clean language, one for intriguing plot, one for great characters, and one for amazing writing. It all flows. Overall, great book.
